The Carradice Lightweight Audax Saddlebag is a mash-up of a bag design that has proven the test of 80 years, now using lightweight, waterproof fabrics and easier to use nylon buckles. What's not to love about this combination. The double layering of the top and the bottom on the Lightweight Audax are in line with Carradice's committment to extremely long wearing products that that prove to be highly weather-proof.
While the Lightweight Audax is not going to be quite as durable or weatherproof as the Originals (waxed cotton duck), it is going to be very, very close and the weight savings is 35%!
A good-sized main compartment (11-1/2"x6"x6") will fit your snacks, raingear, spare tube and tools and 2 outside pockets are plenty big enough to keep some items super handly and help you keep organized. The main compartment has a slim, hanging stash pocket with a zippered pouch as well as 2 snap closure sleeves (a passport and your burner phone will stay safe here).
There are D-Rings for an optional Shoulder Strap, as well as 4 lashing rings on the top of the bag to give you the option to tie on extra gear (toe straps or a Junk Strap work well with these).

If you're looking for a more classic Carradice bag (from the Originals series), the Barley is a good place to start (and similar in design to the Lightweight Audax).
