These are the same workforce ferrules we use with 5mm brake housing (or 5mm shift housing) in the shop. "Open" end caps have no o-ring or nylon ring in the tip. These are made from nickel-plated brass for corrision-resistance, durability, and classic looks. The end of these ferrules is sufficiently thick to not deform from the end of the housing coil or wires, unlike the thinner "pre-crimped" style.

These fit perfectly over the ouside of brake or shift housing with an outside diameter of 5mm. These are not the correct fit for 4mm, 4.5mm, or 5.5mm housing.
