Schmidt Ring Terminal Adaptor [Ground Adaptor]

Schmidt's ring terminal adaptor is often used with the Schmidt E6 and Edelux headlights, whenever one of these lights is wired in conjunction with a taillight, and an adapter is needed for cables that use crimp connectors. It is not necessary when installing an Edelux or E6 without a taillight. Install the flat, circular part against the aluminum base of the headlight and onto the bolt that holds the light onto its mount. In this position, the connector gets the ground current from the base of the light, and can then accept a standard 2.8 female spade.

This will allow you to connect a taillight wire that has a pair of 2.8mm female spade connectors to an Edelux headlight, which would otherwise require one 2.8mm spade connector and one 6mm ring terminal. This also means you can completely unplug the taillight from your headlight without needing to disturb the headlight mounting bolt.
