This adapter is used for charging some Shimano STePS batteries when the battery is NOT on the bike.
Here at Perennial Cyce, our most common use has been for the Yuba El Boda and the Yuba Kombi E5.
Here in Minnesota we cannot leave our batteries our bikes when stored outside in the cold, so this adapter allows charging of the battery indoors (off the bike).
