Join us Sunday, August 17th @ 3pm for ROLLAPALOOZA!
The Three Stages Rollapalooza Ride, like the name, will be comprised of three stages, hosting three bands, playing three sets. All of this will make up one fabulous afternoon. Our group rides are all about fun and community. This is a pretty slow rolling group ride (w/a musician playing on a trailer). No fancy bikes or clothing required (though no shame if you show up bling'ed out). Banjo Brothers will be sponsoring the event. We have had Banjo Brothers on our shelves for over a decade and are excited to have them as a co-sponsor for Rollapalooza. Learn more about these Mpls locals and their great products here.
Rollapalooza will meet at 3pm behind Perennial Cycle.
The first stage performance will begin twenty minutes after the scheduled meet time in the parking lot behind the shop. Stage One will be hosted by Deco and the Rah’s. This group of friends and artists met through the vibrant art scene of Decorah, IA and have been making music ever since.
From there, the ride will roll out towards the Mississippi River with musical accompaniment by Nathan Woolery. Nathan and his guitar, pulled on our Carla Cargo bike trailer, will lead us with song out towards the next stage of the ride.
Once we all reach the river we will be joined by founding Pastry Ride member, composer and singer-songwriter Victoria Malawey for our second stage. Victoria will be performing a set based on original songs, in the style of their latest album (Stronger) a part of Victoria's solo singer-songwriter project Novvaa. Led by voice and guitar these songs will focus on themes of travel, love, and resilience.
The last stage of the ride, also along the river, will be headlined by the duo known as Ghost in the Water. Comprised of Nathan Woolery and Mandy Tensen Woolery. Ghost in the Water will end out our afternoon with a mix of lush harmonies, intricate guitar, and dreamy electronics.
Hope to see you there!
