Every one of us at Perennial Cycle loves using dynamo lighting. This is because if you use your bike for transportation or touring, adding dynamo to your bike is a game changer. No need to wonder if your batteries are charged. The energy is always available to power your lights (or charge your device).

We build a lot of dynamo wheels at Perennial, and the most common for several years has used the SON28 Hub with a Velocity Cliffhanger or Aileron rim (look in "details" below to determine which rim suits your bike (& use).

The Schmidt SON28 Dynamo Hub is the very best (lowest rolling resistance) dynamo hub available. The hub's generator will power your Dynamo Lights or a USB Charging Device on your bike.
The SON28 hub is available for any fork/bike. Choose from QR, 12mm or 15mm thru-axle below.

Perennial's Premium Dynamo Wheel pairs the SON28 hub with a 650b Velocity Cliffhanger or Aileron rim (choose below), which are very versatile, tubeless ready, disc specific rims for randonneurring, touring, bike camping and commuting.
This wheel is for disc brake only. You can choose below whether you prefer a centerlock disc hub or an ISO disc hub.
